Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) – Shocking new details have emerged from court documents in the June 18 police chase involving Kevin Anderson, who is accused of leading officers on a high-speed pursuit across multiple counties in North Dakota, endangering dozens of lives along I-29.

  • The incident began when a trooper attempted to stop Anderson near mile marker 111 for failing to signal.

  • At mile 115, Anderson came to a screeching halt in front of a semi, sparking a chain reaction: a tanker swerved, other cars scattered, and even a patrol unit was forced into the median.

  • At mile 124, Anderson allegedly brake-checked another patrol car.

  • He then attempted to reverse into a Traill County Sheriff’s vehicle but failed.

  • A third brake check was reported at mile 127.

Authorities deployed spike strips at mile 130, ending the chase. Anderson resisted arrest, requiring significant force from officers.

He now faces four charges:

  1. Fleeing from a peace officer

  2. Reckless endangerment

  3. Preventing arrest

  4. Reckless driving
