GRAND FORKS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – A major police response occurred early Wednesday morning in Grand Forks County after officers surrounded a man reportedly armed with a gun.
According to Sergeant Peton, authorities were called to the lawn area near 17th Street and 12th Avenue South around 7:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a man lying on the ground. When officers arrived, the man rolled over, revealing a firearm.
Police drew their weapons and ordered the man to comply. After initially being slow to follow commands, the suspect was safely taken into custody without further incident.
The man was transported for evaluation, and investigators are working to determine if he may be connected to other cases.
