Grand Forks County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A former employee is charged after a knife threat outside a Grand Forks business.

According to court documents, Isaiah Maysonet is accused of threatening a worker with a knife.

The incident happened on August 26 on North Fourth Street, records state.

Investigators say Maysonet approached a current employee from behind.

He allegedly drew a knife and said he would kill the victim, the filing says.

The victim told investigators that Maysonet said he was coming after employees.

Officers arrested Maysonet after the report. He now faces a felony terrorizing charge.

Under North Dakota law, terrorizing involves threats that cause serious fear.

Penalties can be severe if a weapon is involved, as stated in the statute.

For reference, see N.D.C.C. § 12.1-17-04 (Terrorizing).

Police did not detail injuries in the initial filings. No other victims were named.

Officials did not release the business name. The location is a commercial area.

Detectives are reviewing video and any other physical evidence from the scene.

Anyone with information or video is asked to contact Grand Forks Police.

You can find contact details on the City of Grand Forks Police page.

Workplace threats should be reported quickly for safety and documentation.

Guidance on preventing workplace violence is available from OSHA.

The case is now in the district court process. A first appearance will be scheduled.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Court calendars and public records are available through the North Dakota Courts portal.

TRF News will update this story if additional records are filed.
