Security alert leads to 911 call
Authorities say security cameras alerted a property owner just after midnight Tuesday. The alert showed prowlers on the property, according to the report.
The property owner called the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department to report the activity.


Drone used to locate suspects
Deputies responded and used a drone to search the area, according to the report. The drone helped locate suspects who were allegedly hiding on or near the property.
Two men were taken into custody, according to the report.
Suspects identified
The suspects were identified as Blaine Peltier of Grand Forks and Mario Vargas of Fargo.
Both men are now facing a felony burglary charge, according to the information provided. They are also charged with misdemeanor possession of meth.
These charges are allegations. Both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
