(Grand Forks County, ND) (trfnews.i234.me)— A shocking case has rocked Grand Forks as Jarae Grad, a former daycare worker at Hopeful Beginnings Daycare inside Grand Cities Mall, was caught on video forcefully slamming a one-year-old infant to the ground.
Disturbing Video Evidence
The video, captured by a concerned coworker, shows Grad thrusting the child up and away, yanking the infant back violently, and then forcefully slamming her to the ground. The child’s legs whipped back as her torso, hips, and legs hit the floor hard, while she screamed and cried in pain.
Grad’s Response: “I Was Frustrated”
When police questioned Grad, she admitted she was “a little mad, a little frustrated”, and said she threw the child to make her stop crying. The aftermath left the infant suffering from ear drainage, irritability, fatigue, and loss of appetite.
Legal Outcome: A Slap on the Wrist?
Originally charged with felony child abuse, Grad struck a plea deal. Instead of jail, she received just 70 hours of community service after pleading guilty to misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
