GRAND FORKS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – Breaking news out of Grand Forks this Tuesday afternoon: the bomb squad was called to assist during a probation search that briefly raised safety concerns.

According to Sergeant Peton of the Grand Forks Police Department, officers were conducting a probation search in the 1700 block of 12th Avenue North when they discovered a decorative box resembling an old ammunition container, stamped with the word “dynamite.”

Bomb technicians and an X-ray machine were deployed to examine the box. Authorities confirmed it posed no danger and declared the incident a false alarm.
