Grand Forks County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Grand Forks Police responded to a shooting early Sunday, August 31, 2025. Multiple 911 calls came in around 4:30 a.m. from the 500 block of 4th Avenue North.

Officers arrived and found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Altru Hospital for treatment. Police have not released his condition.

Witnesses reported a dark-colored SUV leaving the area. Investigators say that the detail is unconfirmed at this time.

Detectives are asking residents and businesses nearby to check security cameras. Video between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. may help the case.

As of Sunday morning, no suspect has been identified. The investigation remains active.
