Emerado, North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A man from Emerado is now facing serious felony charges following a violent domestic incident earlier this month.

According to court documents, George Conde Jr. has been charged with felony domestic violence and terrorizing. The charges stem from a September 13th confrontation with a female victim.

Investigators say Conde threatened the woman during an argument, telling her, “I’m going to take a knife and kill you.” He then allegedly placed his hands around her neck and choked her while repeating, “I’m going to kill you.”

The victim later reported she had difficulty breathing and experienced blurry vision during the attack. According to the complaint, Conde told her afterward, “I shouldn’t have done this because now I know I’m going to go to jail.”

Felony domestic violence and terrorizing charges carry the potential for significant prison sentences if a conviction is reached. The case will move forward in Grand Forks County District Court.

Officials emphasize that domestic violence remains a serious public safety concern. Victims are encouraged to seek help and report incidents immediately. Resources for survivors are available through the National Domestic Violence Hotline, which provides confidential support 24/7.

No further details about Conde’s initial court appearance were immediately available. More updates are expected as the case proceeds.
