Grand Forks celebrates the start of “Christmas In the Park”!

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The Annual Lions Club, “Christmas in the Park” is underway at Lincoln Drive Park on this Friday evening. It runs through December 31st.
Christmas in the Park is underway at Lincoln Drive Park in Grand Forks on this Friday evening it runs every night 5 30 to 10 p.m through December 31st we are at Christmas in the Park in Lincoln Drive Park it’s a lions project all four Lions Clubs here in in Grand Forks participate we have 70 displays that are lit up either private or displays owned by the Lions and rented out we started today on the 25th of November at 5 30 and it goes till 10 o’clock and that’s the hours every day until December 31st so we work on weekends we’re open every day of the week now that we’re open so uh beyond that we have been averaging 3 500 to 4500 cars over the last few years the project is in its 21st year so we’ve had something over 70 000 cars go through during that time and uh something along the line of uh four hundred thousand dollars raised for charities in the Grand Forks area and that is then distributed by the Lions Clubs um beyond that we have a our last display as our our favorite display which is the animated tree with music so please come down and and participate of course we saved that to last so that uh that’s your last memory as you as you leave the park [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music]
