Grand Forks Body Found in Red River, No Foul Play Suspected
Grand Forks ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Police say the body of a female was recovered from the Red River on the north side of town Monday afternoon. Her identity has not yet been released.
Authorities confirmed that relatives of the deceased woman have been notified. The name of the victim is expected to be released on Friday, giving family members time to contact other relatives.
According to Grand Forks Police, preliminary findings show no signs of foul play and no threat to the public. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
The body was found near the north side boat ramp at Riverside Park. A passerby notified police after spotting the woman in the water. Officers secured the area while emergency crews responded to the scene.
