Grand Forks ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Biolife Plasma Services has permanently closed its donation center in Grand Forks. The facility, located on Technology Circle just west of the University of North Dakota campus, will not reopen.

Company representatives confirmed the closure this week, stating it is part of an effort to optimize the network of plasma donation centers across the country. Biolife operates around 200 locations nationwide.

In a statement from Biolife’s media relations team, the company said: “We continue to evaluate several factors when looking at the optimization of our network of plasma donation centers, and we’ve made the decision to close the Biolife Center in Grand Forks. We hope our plasma donors consider donating at either of the two Biolife Fargo locations. We are extremely grateful for our employees, plasma donors, and everyone in this community who has contributed to our mission to support patients who depend on medicines produced from plasma.”

Biolife emphasized that while the Grand Forks center is closing, its Fargo and Moorhead facilities will remain open. Donors are encouraged to use those sites if they wish to continue giving plasma.

The closure comes at a time when plasma donations remain critical for producing life-saving medicines for patients nationwide. For more information about Biolife Plasma Services and to locate donation centers, visit the official Biolife website.
