Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On December 29, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., law enforcement conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Pennington Avenue and Nora Street. The driver, George Louis Cruz Jr., 21, was arrested and charged with second-degree Driving While Impaired (DWI) due to the presence of two or more aggravating factors.
According to the complaint, Cruz exhibited signs of impairment and did not pass field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.18. The complaint also noted that Cruz has a prior DWI conviction from January 2023.
