Dakota County (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities have issued a fugitive alert for Joel James Royce, a convicted theft offender who is now on the run.
Royce, born on August 6, 1968, was sentenced on April 25, 2024, for theft in Dakota County (Case No. 19HA-CR-24-184). He was released from custody on February 3, 2025, but has since violated his release terms and was declared a fugitive as of February 25, 2025.
Law enforcement is actively searching for Royce and urges the public to report any sightings immediately. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact local authorities or his supervising agent, Matt Bifulk.
Officials warn that Royce may be attempting to evade capture and are urging residents in Dakota County and surrounding areas to stay alert.
