GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Friday night vigil at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for Charlie Kirk.
were the blessings and fruits of his deep and sustaining faith. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. A vigil tonight for conservative political activist Charlie Kirk who was shot and killed this week in Utah. This is along the English at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. It was organized by the Federalist Society at the UND School of Law. >> So, the purpose of tonight is to remember Charlie for who he was um and his legacy that he’s going to be leaving that he has left and the mission that will continue on. It’s so important today that we are able to have debates and discussions without hatred and violence associated with it. And all Charlie did was go to college campuses and have these debates and discussions with people. And it’s so so sad that people had to resort to political violence to try to stop him from speaking. I mean, Charlie was the pinnacle of what the First Amendment is and what it will continue to be. So, tonight we’re here to celebrate his legacy and continue the mission going forward. >> My name’s Art Mall. I’m the vice president for student affairs at the University of North Dakota. >> And can you talk about your feelings tonight? >> Yes. I think I’m uh just as sad as everyone else. Uh, I am here to support our students and uh, I think you know that the University of North Dakota respects the right for everyone to uh, exercise their free speech and to be able to do it in a in a very very civil way. We don’t always have to agree, but the most important thing is that we take the opportunity to learn from each other. An estimate of some 300 people on hand for the vigil for Charlie Kirk here at UND in Grand Forks, North Dakota on this Friday evening. Bob Carlson fornews.tv.
