FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Former State Senator Ray Holmberg of Grand Forks is expected to plead guilty in federal court to charges of traveling to Europe to engage in sexual activities with minors. According to the plea agreement, Holmberg made multiple trips from North Dakota to Prague, Czech Republic, between June 24, 2011, and November 1, 2016, with the intent to engage in commercial sex acts with individuals under 18 years old. The 79-year-old Holmberg faces a maximum prison sentence of 30 years. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
