Fire Erupts at Grand Forks Motel from Bathroom Fan – Grand Forks County Emergency Response!

Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) – A scene unfolded early Sunday morning at the StayInn Motel in Grand Forks, when a routine fire alarm turned into a full emergency response. According to Battalion Chief Chris Carlson, the Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched at 5:04 a.m. for a general fire alarm. Upon arrival, smoke was discovered, prompting the alarm to be upgraded to a full structure fire response.

Firefighters swiftly identified the source: a malfunctioning bathroom fan that had ignited a fire within one of the motel units. Fortunately, the unit was unoccupied at the time, and fire crews quickly extinguished the flames. Damage was contained to one unit, and the incident was officially ruled accidental.
