Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Early Monday morning, a fire destroyed a garage/shop in rural Thief River Falls. No injuries were reported. At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, the St. Hilaire Fire Department was dispatched to the garage/shop at 10923 210th Ave. S.E., according to St. Hilaire Assistant Fire Chief Brandon Kisch. The structure, owned by Andrew Brekke, was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival. The garage/shop contained a vehicle, a motorcycle, and an all-terrain vehicle at the time.
The Thief River Falls Fire Department provided mutual aid in the form of water. Firefighters remained on the scene for about three hours.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office.
