Fergus Falls Township (trfnews.i234.me) – A collision occurred on December 10, 2025, at 12:46 PM on westbound Interstate 94 at milepost 49 in Fergus Falls Township, Otter Tail County. A 2023 Peterbilt semi tractor, driven by 38-year-old Ricco Ceasar Santana of Martinsville, VA, and a 2024 International semi tractor, driven by 40-year-old Garvin John Howell of East Hartford, CT, were both traveling westbound when the two vehicles collided.
Santana, the driver of the Peterbilt, was wearing his seat belt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Lake Region Hospital for treatment. Howell, the driver of the International, was also wearing his seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.
The road conditions at the time were snow-covered and icy, which contributed to the collision. Ringdahl Ambulance responded to the scene.
