Fergus Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fergus Falls resident, Jeffrey Defries, 55, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after allegedly firing a gun during a confrontation with a delivery driver, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place in Orwell Township, west of Fergus Falls.
Authorities reported that the altercation involved a verbal dispute between Defries and the delivery driver, during which Defries discharged a firearm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The incident was reported to authorities at 1:49 p.m. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene. Defries has been charged with second-degree assault and is currently in custody.
