FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – Katherine Junge, the former CEO of two real estate organizations in Fergus Falls, has been sentenced to probation and ordered to make restitution. In a plea agreement, she was accused of using her organization’s credit cards for approximately $144,000 in purchases for her benefit over several years.
Police began investigating Junge in March 2022 after association members discovered the embezzlement during her retirement from leading the Lakes Region Association of Realtors and Lakes Region Multiple Listing Service. She had held this position for 25 years.
Junge originally faced four counts, but she agreed to plead guilty to one theft charge, with the other counts being dismissed. An Otter Tail County District Court judge sentenced Junge to five years probation and ordered her to pay restitution of nearly $94,000. The investigation and subsequent sentencing mark a significant conclusion to this case involving embezzlement by a former real estate organization leader in Fergus Falls.
