East Grand Forks, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A fatal crash occurred just outside East Grand Forks on Highway 2 around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities say a 67-year-old woman from Grand Forks was driving a Chevy Equinox westbound on County Road 17 when she collided with a northbound Peterbilt semi on Highway 2. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi driver, identified as 27-year-old Tyler James Shaver of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Investigators report that no alcohol was involved in the incident. The State Patrol will release the identity of the woman on Friday at noon.
