Olmsted County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On January 21, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a collision occurred on Highway 63 in Farmington Township, Olmsted County. A northbound 2014 Ford F150, driven by 30-year-old Andrew Jay Johnson of Zumbro Falls, and a southbound 2019 Kenworth dump truck, operated by 80-year-old Gerald Henry Pulver of Rochester, collided just south of milepost 48. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Pulver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital. No alcohol or substance use was detected for Pulver; it is unknown if alcohol or impairment was suspected for Johnson. The crash prompted a response from multiple agencies, including the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Elgin Fire Department, Rochester Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
