FARGO N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Terri Celeste Nesemeier, 26, is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing from a man who collapsed and died in front of her at his Fargo apartment. Nesemeier is set to appear in Cass County District Court on Thursday, August 8, facing felony counts of credit card theft and preventing arrest, as well as several misdemeanors, including willful disturbance of a body, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to report a death and theft.
The incident came to light after Fargo police responded to an apartment on Oak Manor Avenue South, where they found the body of 60-year-old Jeff Siemieniewski. Authorities believe Siemieniewski’s body was moved postmortem. Surveillance footage showed Nesemeier helping Siemieniewski move items into his apartment before he collapsed from an apparent medical emergency. Rather than seeking help, Nesemeier allegedly moved his body and stole several of his belongings, including his debit card, phone, and identification.
Nesemeier claimed she couldn’t call 911 due to a passcode on Siemieniewski’s phone and lack of cellular access on her own phone. She is currently being held at the Cass County Jail.
