Cass County, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A routine traffic stop in Fargo has led to the arrest of 44-year-old Jeremy Fahleen of Barnes County, Minnesota, and the recovery of stolen property.

On May 21, 2025, Fargo Police Officer Ben Lien observed a vehicle parked in the 2400 block of University Drive South that matched the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a recent trailer theft. The vehicle lacked a front license plate, prompting Officer Lien to initiate a traffic stop. Upon approach, he recognized the driver as Jeremy Fahleen, who had an active felony narcotics warrant out of Barnes County. Fahleen confirmed his identity and was arrested without incident.

During the inventory of the vehicle, officers discovered a digital scale with methamphetamine residue, a canister of marijuana wax, fishing poles, and a large bag of power tools. The bag bore a last name that did not match Fahleen’s. The following day, Officer Josh Persson, who had assisted at the scene, recovered a stolen vehicle in Waite Park, Minnesota. He noted that the registered owner’s last name matched the one on the bag of tools. The owner confirmed that his brother’s fishing poles and tools were in the car when it was stolen. Officer Persson returned to the impounded vehicle and recovered the stolen property.

Fahleen was arrested on his Barnes County warrant and faces additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
