FARGO (trfnews.i234.me) – Timothy Windels was sentenced to 180 days in jail for using an angle grinder to cut Midco lines at seven locations around Fargo. The incident occurred in August and caused significant outages to residential and business customers.
Windels pleaded guilty and admitted to tampering with electrical boxes, including one at the federal courthouse in North Fargo. He was arrested on August 28 while possessing an angle grinder.
The affected businesses included Community Family Market, Rodeway Inn, Northwest Pipe Fittings, and Larson Welding and Machine Company.
Windels has been serving time in the Cass County jail since his arrest and will receive credit for time served. Upon release, he will be on probation for a year and a half and must pay nearly $4,000 in restitution and fines.
