FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo man, Luis Elizondo, is facing multiple criminal charges following a traffic stop that uncovered a stolen welder valued at $6,000. According to court documents, Elizondo was pulled over on the 900 block of 9th Avenue South due to the lack of license tabs on his pickup.
The police noted that the area is notorious for drug activity. Upon inspection, officers found a $6,000 welder in the back of Elizondo’s pickup, which had been reported stolen in Moorhead. Elizondo has been charged with felony theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Before being taken to jail, Elizondo required medical clearance at a hospital, where he admitted to police that he had recently smoked fentanyl pills. The case underscores ongoing concerns about drug-related crimes in the area.
