Fargo Man Charged After Children Found Injured

FARGO, N.D. — trfnews.i234.me — A Fargo man faces two child abuse charges after two children were found injured.

Police say the children had bruises, redness, and other injuries on their faces and necks.

Officers were called to a Fargo residence around 5:02 p.m. on Aug. 9.

The call involved a report of suspected child abuse, according to an incident report.

Children Taken For Medical Care

A caregiver told police the children had recently left Taylor Buhr’s apartment.

The caregiver noticed the injuries after picking up the children, according to the report.

Police reported bruising and redness on the children’s foreheads, cheeks, and necks.

Officers also reported petechiae, which are small spots caused by bleeding under the skin.

One child told police that Buhr had hit and slapped them, the report stated.

The children were taken to Essentia Health-Fargo for evaluation.

Doctors expressed concern that the children may also have been strangled, according to police documents.

The report said that concern was based on the children’s injuries and medical evaluation.

Police later went to Buhr’s apartment while investigating the reported injuries.

The report says Buhr initially refused to leave the apartment.

He also denied harming the children, according to the documents.

Buhr later claimed the children had injured each other during a fight, police said.

He eventually came outside and was taken into custody.

Buhr now faces two counts of child abuse, according to the incident report.
