How police say she got inside

The charging document lists the case as a felony burglary count. Under North Dakota law, burglary involves entering or staying in a building without permission. The law also requires intent to commit a crime inside. Burglary is often a class C felony. It can be a class B felony in some cases. That includes a nighttime burglary in a dwelling. State law lists other factors, too.
