Fargo, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man has been arrested and charged with felony theft of property in connection with what authorities are calling an unusual “furniture fraud” case.
According to court documents, Boateng Farouk purchased a couch for $3,555 from a Fargo furniture store in June. After bringing the couch home, he allegedly disputed the charge with his credit card company and received a refund, but refused to return the furniture.
The charge of theft of property was subsequently filed, and Farouk was arrested.
