FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Fargo faced an alarming series of bomb threats last week, culminating in a fake threat to West Acres Mall on Friday afternoon. The Fargo Police Department swiftly responded to the threat at a business on 13th Avenue South, but it was quickly determined to be unfounded.
In total, six bomb threats were reported across Fargo in just one week, an unusual spike for the city. Fargo South High School was notably impacted, with two threats forcing a lockdown on the first day of school and an evacuation later that week. Fortunately, all threats were revealed to be hoaxes, likely part of a disturbing “swatting” trend.
Authorities continue to investigate the incidents while reassuring the public of their commitment to safety. Despite the unsettling week, no explosives were found, and all areas have been declared safe.
