Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) – We now have names in the shocking bomb incident that closed down part of I-29 near Reynolds today.

Authorities have identified the suspects as 41-year-old Gabriel P. Messmer and 42-year-old Ryan Ringsrud-Knowles, both of Fargo, North Dakota. Both men are currently being held in the Grand Forks County Jail, charged with possession of an explosive device.

As previously reported, a traffic stop for illegal window tint led to the discovery of a suspected explosive in their vehicle. The Grand Forks Bomb Squad responded and safely detonated the device on site.

No additional details have been released at this time. Charging documents are still pending, and the investigation remains active.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
