EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Sunday Night March in Grand Forks Aims to Continue Search for Missing Woman

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A handful of family and friend gathered for a walk from downtown to the police station in an effort to continue the search for a Grand Forks woman who went missing in 1996. This week, police excavated a yard in the search for Kristi Nikle. It’s believed she was murdered.
back in october of 1996 19 year old christy nichol of grand forks who was mentally disabled went missing it’s believed she was murdered she’s never been found earlier this week grand forks police excavated the yard here at first avenue north and 11th street back in 1996 this was an empty lot police say recently someone came forward to say in the hole that was dug to move the home in it appeared someone had covered a part of the hole with backfill dirt so recently cadaver dogs were also recently brought in they sniffed positive for the possibility of human remains however police say nothing was found after digging up the entire yard here and sifting all the material through screens it doused a glimmer of hope for family and friends who gathered in downtown grand forks on this sunday evening they want closure to this case they marched in unity from downtown to the grand forks police station well we got like an anonymous tip and there was a house uh over where i grew up at and they were digging and we just were gonna do the walk for that and hopefully we can get some kind of answers and some justice and go from there bring christy home bring christy home bring christy home bring christy home a family’s effort to bring closure to a tragic case out of 1996. we’ve reached out to grand forks police for comment we’ll have that for you if and when we get it i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me

  1. October 26, 1996, in the nearby town of Warren, Minnesota, Veronica Safranski also went missing & was never found. I hope there is closure & justice for these families. 🙏
