Eden Prairie, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) — A wrong-way crash on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie left one man dead and another driver injured Saturday night.
The crash happened at about 7:51 p.m. on April 11, 2026. It happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 212 at Valley View Road.
What Happened
Authorities said a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado was driving the wrong way on the highway. The pickup was going eastbound in the westbound lanes.
The truck then hit a 2014 Volkswagen Passat head-on in the left lane. The road was dry at the time of the crash.
The Chevrolet driver was identified as Amanda Lyn Merriman, 50, of Victoria. She suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening. She was taken to HCMC for treatment.
The Volkswagen driver was identified as Bohdan Antoniuk, 69, of Hopkins. He died from injuries suffered in the crash. His case was turned over to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Driver and Vehicle Details
Officials said airbags deployed in both vehicles. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Alcohol was suspected in the Chevrolet crash investigation. Alcohol was not suspected for Antoniuk, according to the report.
The Chevrolet Colorado had one occupant. The Volkswagen Passat also had one occupant.

Agencies responding included Hennepin EMS, Eden Prairie Fire, Eden Prairie Police, and MnDOT.
