East Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) — No criminal charges have been filed in East Grand Forks against Jackson Taylor as of Jan. 2, 2026.
Police in that city have identified Taylor, of Grand Forks, as a possible suspect in a theft and property damage case.
The East Grand Forks case dates back to Dec. 4. Police say the incident happened near Sacred Heart School.
As of Friday, officials confirm no charges have been filed against Taylor in that Minnesota case.
However, Taylor is facing criminal charges on the Grand Forks side of the river.
East Grand Forks Investigation Ongoing
East Grand Forks police announced this past week that Taylor was a person of interest in the case.
The investigation involves reported theft and damage to property in the area near the school.
Police have not released details on what items were taken or damaged.
Authorities also have not said whether more suspects may be involved.
Officials stress that an investigation does not equal a charge.
Taylor has not been charged in Minnesota as of the date of this report.

Charges Filed in Grand Forks
While the East Grand Forks case remains uncharged, Taylor is accused in a separate case in Grand Forks.
According to court records, the Grand Forks incidents allegedly occurred on Dec. 5.
Police say Taylor broke into and damaged vehicles at the Central Parking Ramp downtown.
The parking ramp is located in the city’s central business area.
Authorities say multiple vehicles were affected.
Taylor is facing two felony counts of unlawful entry into a vehicle.
He is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief.
Additional charges include theft of property and driving under suspension.
Cases Handled Separately
Law enforcement officials note the Minnesota and North Dakota cases are separate matters.
Each case will move forward under its own legal process.
Information on Minnesota criminal law can be found on the State of Minnesota website.
Details on North Dakota court cases are available at the North Dakota Courts website.
Criminal charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
