East Grand Forks, Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) Daniel Glen Reamer has been charged in Polk County after a drug-related arrest near a school zone.

According to a criminal complaint, Reamer faces one felony count of third-degree controlled substance crime in a prohibited zone.

What The Complaint Says

Court records say police were looking into an attempted break-in at Pop’s Liquor from the night before.

Investigators identified Reamer as a suspect after reviewing store security images.

Later that morning, officers were told Reamer was back at the store.

They found him in a bathroom stall at about 7:43 a.m.

His clothes, backpack, and an open bottle of vodka were on the floor, the complaint said.

Police asked if the backpack held any weapons.

Reamer said it contained a meth pipe, according to the complaint.

Police then found the pipe.

A field test on residue in the pipe was positive for methamphetamine, the complaint said.

The charge is a felony.

The listed maximum penalty is 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.

Statement To Police

The complaint says Reamer later gave a voluntary statement.

He said he came to East Grand Forks for treatment about three weeks earlier.

He said he left the treatment program.

He also said he was homeless and had no phone or mailing address.

He admitted the pipe was his, according to the complaint.

He also said he had used meth for about 10 years.

What Happens Next

The case was filed in Polk County District Court.

As of the filing, the complaint states there was probable cause for the charge.
