Early Morning Semi Rollover in Fargo Injures Passenger

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – An early Sunday morning semi-rollover occurred in Fargo, North Dakota. When the accident happened, a 23-year-old male from Winnipeg was driving a tractor-trailer on southbound I-29 near the Main Avenue exit at 2:06 a.m. The driver was not injured, but his 62-year-old male passenger, also from Winnipeg, sustained injuries as he was not wearing a seat belt.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that the driver mistook the shoulder for the 13th Avenue South exit, causing him to drive off the roadway. Upon entering the ditch, the fully loaded trailer caused the semi to overturn on its side in the west ditch. The truck and trailer came to rest in the west ditch of I-29.

The Highway Patrol is coordinating with tow services to remove the truck and trailer. One lane of southbound I-29 was closed to allow emergency crews to work on removing the vehicle combination.
