Duluth Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Polk County Motorcycle Crash

A 58-year-old Duluth area man, Dean Bruce Obrien, sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Tuesday in Polk County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Obrien was driving his 2004 Harley Davidson westbound on US Highway 2 when it veered off the road near milepost 64 in King Township.

Obrien, who was not wearing a helmet, was rushed to Essentia Fosston for treatment. Troopers on the scene described his injuries as life-threatening. The accident was reported just before 11:30 a.m. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
