POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Anthony Allen Ressler, 42, of Duluth, Minnesota, was sentenced to 49 months in prison on August 1, 2024, after pleading guilty to two Polk County drug-related charges. Ressler admitted to felony third-degree controlled substance possession in a prohibited zone and gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while impaired.
Several other charges were dismissed, including felony second-degree controlled substance sale in a prohibited zone, gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation, and gross misdemeanor violation of a restricted driver’s license.
The charges stemmed from a March 2023 incident where Ressler was found passed out in a car wash in Crookston. Law enforcement discovered drug paraphernalia, about 4.8 grams of methamphetamine, and a financial ledger in his vehicle. The car wash was within one block of a local high school, leading to enhanced penalties.
Ressler had posted bail but missed a court hearing, resulting in a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was recalled when he appeared in court. He will serve his sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, with credit for 185 days already served.
