Driver Cited After Two-Vehicle Crash In Thief River Falls

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me— One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash earlier this month in Thief River Falls. According to the Thief River Falls Police Department, the accident happened at 5:22 p.m. on October 7 at the intersection of Eighth Street and Knight Avenue.

Investigators say Micah Anderson of Thief River Falls was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 eastbound on Eighth Street when he failed to yield to a 2013 Dodge Journey traveling northbound on Knight Avenue. The Dodge, driven by William Fish of Thief River Falls, had the right of way when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Fish was transported by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center with possible injuries. Anderson was cited at the scene for failure to yield, according to the police report.

Both vehicles sustained damage in the collision. Road conditions were clear and dry at the time, and no other contributing factors were reported.

The Thief River Falls Police Department is reminding drivers to stay alert and always yield when required, especially at uncontrolled intersections where visibility may be limited.
