Dilworth (trfnews.i234.me) — A traffic stop in Dilworth, Minnesota, took an unexpected turn Tuesday evening when a passenger allegedly drove away in a pickup during the stop.

According to the TRF News viewer video, police had pulled over a pickup truck in a parking lot. While the driver interacted with officers, the passenger reportedly slid into the driver’s seat and took off in the vehicle.

Authorities have not yet released details about the passenger’s identity or the reason for the traffic stop. It is unclear if the pickup has been recovered.

No injuries were reported, and officials have not confirmed whether a pursuit occurred after the vehicle left the scene. Police say more information will be made available if and when charges are filed.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Dilworth Police Department have not issued official statements at this time.
