Bicyclist Struck From Behind on 34th Street West
According to investigators, the 26-year-old man was riding his bicycle eastbound on 34th Street West. His bicycle had a flashing rear light when the collision occurred.
An unidentified vehicle approached from behind and struck the bicycle. The driver then left the scene without stopping to provide assistance.
The injured bicyclist received medical treatment and was later released. Authorities have not provided further details about the extent of his injuries.
Investigators are working to identify the vehicle and driver involved in the early morning collision.
Troopers Searching for White Chevrolet or GMC Pickup
The North Dakota Highway Patrol released several details about the vehicle believed to be involved.
Investigators are looking for a white Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck from model year 2015 or newer.
The pickup reportedly displayed standard North Dakota license plates rather than black specialty plates.
Another identifying feature involves a plastic-type container in the truck’s bed. The container was reportedly secured with straps.
Troopers also believe the vehicle may have damage or other identifying marks on its front passenger side.
These details could help witnesses recognize the pickup or provide additional information about its movements.
Public Asked to Help Identify Hit-and-Run Driver
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the collision or the pickup to contact investigators.
People who traveled along 34th Street West early Sunday may have witnessed something related to the crash.
Investigators are particularly interested in information that could help identify the vehicle or its driver.
A vehicle matching the description is not, by itself, proof of involvement in the crash.
