Detroit Lakes, Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Sartell woman faces charges after a stop near Callaway.
Julie Ann Blood, 30, of Sartell, is charged in Becker County District Court.
The charges include felony receiving stolen property.
They also include a gross misdemeanor for giving a false name.
A misdemeanor driving charge was also filed.
Court records say her license was canceled as a public safety risk.
How the stop happened
A stolen-vehicle alert came in on Dec. 24, 2025.
The alert came from Flock license plate reader cameras.
The Detroit Lakes Police Department uses the system for investigations.
The alert flagged a silver 2019 Buick Envision.
Records say the SUV was stolen in Minneapolis.
A Becker County deputy located the vehicle on Highway 59.
The deputy stopped it on Highway 59 in Callaway, records say.
Blood was driving, according to the complaint.
She first gave a family member’s name, records say.
She also gave the wrong birth date, records say.
Officers later identified her as Blood.

What Blood told officers
Blood said a friend asked her to hold the vehicle for a few days.
She said she met the friend about 10 days earlier.
She told officers the friend goes by “Kangaroo.”
Blood said, “Kangaroo” texted her with a request.
She said he wanted a ride from Mahnomen.
She said the pickup spot was at a casino.
Blood told a deputy she believed the SUV was stolen.
The deputy confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen, records say.
Blood did not give “Kangaroo’s” real name, records say.
Bond and court date
Officers also found Blood had active warrants, records say.
They also confirmed she could not legally drive, records say.
Blood posted a $3,000 bond on Dec. 27, 2025.
She was released under standard conditions, records say.
Her next court hearing is set for Feb. 9, 2026.
The hearing is scheduled before Judge Gretchen D. Thilmony.
The charges are allegations.
A defendant is presumed innocent in court.
