Detroit Lakes (trfnews.i234.me) – A Detroit Lakes man is facing felony charges after authorities say he violated a no-contact order in Becker County.Joseph Andrew Crawford, 34, has been charged in Becker County District Court with violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions. Under Minnesota law, that offense is a felony.

According to court records, the alleged violation occurred on August 27. The criminal complaint was not immediately available online, but details of the charging documents were confirmed in court filings.

On August 28, bail or bond for Crawford without conditions was set at $45,000. A non-cash bond or cash bail with standard conditions was set at $30,000. As of Monday, September 8, Crawford remained in custody at the Becker County Jail.

Crawford’s next court appearance is scheduled for September 15 before District Judge Gretchen D. Thilmony. At that time, prosecutors are expected to review the case and set conditions moving forward.

If convicted, Crawford could face significant penalties due to the repeated nature of the violation. Minnesota law imposes stricter sentencing for offenders who repeatedly ignore court-ordered restrictions.
