Delores E. Moore, 92 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Delores was born on July 15, 1931, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Bergsrud) Sager in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949. As a young woman she moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a secretary. Delores was united in marriage to Milton Moore on December 25, 1952. They moved to Emerado, North Dakota in 1959, and they both worked at the Air Force base. Delores became the Postmaster at Emerado in 1962 and continued until her retirement in 1986.
Delores was a quilter, and she made many quilts for family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cake decorating, baking, playing the piano, playing bingo, Farkle and Texas Hold ‘Em. Delores also enjoyed being around animals and visiting with family and friends.
Delores is survived by her son, Roger (Chris) Moore; daughter, Deb Sivertson; six grandchildren, Heather (Dan) Cantu, Erik Eastling, Lorelei (Kevin) Robinson, Michael (Candice) Moore, Justin (Jess) Sivertson and Mathew Sivertson; thirteen great grandchildren; brother-in-law, David (Som) Moore; numerous nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milton (2014), son-in-law, Mark Sivertson, twin sister and brother-in-law, Doris (James) Shortland.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Washington Lutheran Church, rural Northwood, North Dakota. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Washington Lutheran Church, rural Northwood, North Dakota. (Amundson Funeral Home)
