According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash was reported at 6:11 p.m. An 80-year-old Hutchinson man was driving a Kawasaki Mule UTV westbound when it collided with a westbound pickup truck on Highway 7.
The UTV driver died at the scene. His name will be released after family notifications are complete.
The pickup was driven by Allan Hoff, 82, of Fergus Falls. He was not injured. His passenger, Patricia Hoff, 77, also of Fergus Falls, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
Authorities confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The roadway was briefly restricted while emergency crews responded and investigated.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision. Additional information, including the victim’s identity, is expected to be released later today.
