Dead Dog Found Outside Frazee Mobile Home—Authorities Investigating Disturbing Discovery!

Frazee, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Two property managers made a disturbing discovery at a Frazee mobile home park, finding a dead dog frozen outside a vacant residence.

The chilling scene unfolded at 30397 US-10, Frazee, MN—the same address where a man was shot and killed in August 2024. William Jupitz and Matthew Abraham, the property managers, were shocked when they spotted a dog’s foot sticking out from under a blanket near the front door of the home.

How the Dog Ended Up Outside

According to authorities, the dog belonged to a former tenant who was evicted in January 2025. Investigators with the Becker County Sheriff’s Office have determined that the dog did not die from exposure to the cold but rather from an infection (possibly mastitis). The owner claims the dog had been seen by a veterinarian before its death.

After the dog passed, the owner and another individual wrapped it in a blanket and placed it outside on couch cushions, reportedly planning to bury or cremate it later.

Backlash & Investigation Continues

Despite the explanation, Jupitz remains skeptical. “If you knew your dog was dying, why didn’t you have the vet euthanize it instead of letting it suffer?” he questioned.

Photos of the dog posted on social media sparked outrage, leading to numerous reports to trfnews.i234.me from concerned residents.

During the removal of the dog’s remains, a cat was spotted inside the vacant home, raising further concerns about possible abandoned animals. However, Becker County officials have stated that, legally, the property managers are not responsible for removing any remaining pets.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed against the former tenant. However, authorities are still investigating and have requested additional documentation from the owner.

Sheriff’s Office Statement:

“While some may question the decision on leaving the dog outside afterwards (she says she plans on burying the dog once the ground thaws), we don’t see anything criminal at this point related to the death of the animal for cruelty charges—unless we learn something more or we don’t get the additional documentation we have requested. Things could change as this is under investigation.”
