Crow Wing County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)A Brainerd attorney is facing serious felony charges after allegedly making multiple death threats and violent statements toward colleagues at his law firm. Allen Jan Peterson, 33, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, appeared in court today on charges of stalking and threats of violence. His bail was set at $1 million, or $500,000 with conditions.

According to court documents, two employees at the law office reported a significant decline in Peterson’s behavior over recent months, including verbal threats and physical assaults. They alleged that Peterson had choked them and threatened to kill them, with one incident involving a threat to throw an employee into a body of water with cinder blocks attached. Peterson also allegedly made threats against a female attorney at the firm, stating he had a schematic of her house and had created shooting targets resembling her. He reportedly sent videos of himself shooting these targets, accompanied by messages indicating violent intentions. Additionally, Peterson is accused of threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Peterson remains in custody as of Friday evening. He is scheduled to appear in court again next week.
