POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Miguel Arturo Jasso, 25, of Crookston, Minnesota, was sentenced to 125 months in prison on August 1, 2024, for his role in a first-degree controlled substance sale conspiracy. Jasso, who entered an Alford plea in July, maintains his innocence but acknowledges the evidence against him is sufficient for conviction.
Jasso faced three felony charges, including second-degree and third-degree sales of controlled substances within a prohibited zone. However, these additional charges were dropped as part of his plea agreement.
The case against Jasso emerged from an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in Crookston. Authorities uncovered incriminating messages on his social media accounts related to drug transactions. Prior to his sentencing, Jasso had already spent over three years in custody. He will now be transferred to St. Cloud prison to serve his sentence.
