Crash in Pennington County Leaves Two Injured

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a morning accident on Wednesday, March 13, in Pennington County, two individuals sustained injuries following a collision. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near Thief River Falls.

  1. Details of the Crash: An SUV traveling south on Highway 59 at Center Street East collided with a center median divider, causing the vehicle to vault over the top of a roundabout.
  2. Identification of Individuals: The driver, identified as 72-year-old Nanh Khamphoumy of Warroad, and the passenger, identified as 66-year-old Malayvanh Khamphoumy, also from Warroad, were involved in the crash.
  3. Injuries and Response: The State Patrol crash report indicates that both occupants sustained injuries. Fortunately, the airbag deployed, and both individuals were wearing seatbelts. They were promptly transported to Thief River Falls Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
