Corey Kyran Dormer Roper, aged 32 at the time, was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 2011 and served a 27-month prison sentence. Now, he faces three felony charges related to harming a child: child torture, first-degree assault, and malicious punishment of a child. The criminal complaint alleges that Corey Kyran Dormer Roper pushed a child’s face into hot water, resulting in severe burns covering over 16% of the child’s body According to court documents, it took Corey Roper and his girlfriend, the child’s mother, three days to take the child in for medical treatment.
